JEWELRY CARE

CLEANING

If your metal piece starts to tarnish we highly suggest gently rubbing it with a microfiber cloth to bring back the shine!

You can also make a little paste with lemon/vinegar and baking soda. Gently rub the paste on your piece. After, rinse the paste with warm water and dawn soap using a toothbrush.

Just make sure you are gentle in the cleaning process.

STORAGE / CARE

For gold or silver jewelry we suggest keeping it in a ziplock bag or the cotton bag. Some metals oxidize just from being exposed to the air. In general most jewelry does better is you take it out before a shower, pool or ocean.

JEWELRY MATERIALS

CELLULOSE ACETATE

This is the same material high-end eye wear frames are made off. It is different than plastic. It is essentially made from a wood pulp and is a renewable resource. These pieces are lightweight, durable and make great staple pieces. All of our acetate earring posts are hypoallergenic stainless steel.

GOLD PLATED

18K Gold plated with a brass base metal. Our Plating is a 1 micron plating which is 4X the standard plating. We intentionally do this so that our pieces will last.

GOLD FILLED

Gold-filled jewelry is the closest thing to solid gold. Gold-filled pieces contain more than 100x more gold than gold-plated jewelry. For an item to be classified as gold-filled, 5% of the total weight of the item must be made up of gold. The layer of gold is much thicker and stronger, therefore more resistant to tarnishing. If you're looking to invest in a lifetime piece, this is for you!

STERLING SILVER

925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper.  Sterling silver will stay shiny and new as you wear it, since your body oils keep the shine. If you don't wear it for awhile, no worries start wearing it again and the shine will come back! Sterling silver is a beautiful metal that will last forever.
